  • Defense of offering companies, officers and directors, accounting firms and underwriters in over 30 securities class action cases nationwide (with claimed class damages ranging from $300 million to $1 billion) and in follow on ERISA class actions and shareholder derivative cases
  • Wide range of business tort litigation, including fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secrets, and non-compete agreements
  • Extensive experience in post-transaction purchase price and adjustment litigation and arbitration for both sellers and purchasers
  • Representation of Zurich Insurance Company in a $100 million coverage dispute matter under a fidelity/employee dishonesty policy
  • Representation of a major international actuarial firm in a putative $50 million malpractice action
  • Successful representations of private equity and mezzanine funds in relation to investments in certain portfolio companies
  • Representation of the Coca-Cola Company and Energy Brands (glaceau) in the termination of a distributor
  • Spearheaded the litigation which cleared the way for the Star Southfield Theatre Complex, the nation's largest movie theatre complex (by customer capacity and gross revenue)
  • Successful arbitration result for FTD Association against the acquirer of its wholesale operations in a "you bet your business" case concerning control of the FTD trademarks
  • Representation of the National Hockey League in defecting Russian hockey player cases
